It is Not too Late to Vaccinate
For H1N1 and Seasonal Flu
Influenza is unpredictable.
We do not know the likelihood of another wave of the illness spreading,
but we do know that vaccination is the single best way to limit impact of H1N1.

Cold Weather Tips from Four Corners Health Department
Layer Clothing - Dress in several layers of lighter weight clothing. The outer layer of clothing should be tightly woven to reduce body-heat loss caused by wind.
Wear Mittens – By keeping the fingers together, mittens protect your hands more from the effects of cold. Wear a hat, especially one that covers the ears.
Wear Boots - Wear waterproof, insulated boots to keep feet warm and dry. Boots also provide secure footing in ice and snow.
Limit Time Outside - Take frequent breaks and stay hydrated. Seek medical attention immediately if you have symptoms of frostbite, including numbness, flushed gray, white, blue or yellow skin discoloration, numbness, or waxy feeling skin.
Avoid Hypothermia - Do not ignore shivering – a sign that the body is losing heat and a signal to quickly return indoors.
Seek medical attention immediately if you have symptoms of hypothermia, including confusion, dizziness, exhaustion and severe shivering. Infants who are suffering from hypothermia may appear to have very low energy and bright red, cold skin.
Be Cautious - Cold weather puts an extra burden on the heart. Follow your doctor’s orders about shoveling or performing any strenuous exercise outside.
